The battery is a very important part of the drone, but many children's shoes neglect the maintenance of the battery, but the accident of the drone due to the battery problem is not rare. I will focus on the maintenance of the drone battery according to my previous experience Four points:
1. Prevent over discharge of battery
When the battery is not used for a long time, it needs to be taken out separately and stored in a cool, dry environment. In addition, do not allow the battery to be stored for a long time at low power. It is recommended to recharge to 65% every 3 months, which can effectively extend the battery life.
2. How to rule out over-discharging
If the battery cannot be recharged, first rule out whether the battery charging interface is in poor contact. If the interface is dirty, wipe it clean first. You can also try to replace a power cord or a battery to rule out abnormal conditions due to the charging cord or power adapter. If these two conditions are ruled out, it may be that the battery has entered an over-discharge state after being placed for a long period of low power.
3. Wake up over discharge battery
Generally, the battery can be activated within half an hour after it remains charged. If there is still no response after half an hour, the battery may be damaged due to over discharge. If it is a DJI drone, you can return the battery to the factory by self-service repair within the warranty period.
4. Pay attention to battery life
The battery is not unlimited and can be used for life. Generally, the battery life of DJI consumer drones is 200 cycles. This battery cycle is not the number of battery charges. It is generally counted as one cycle when the accumulated discharge capacity exceeds 75% of the designed capacity. By connecting the DJI GO 4/DJI GO APP, you can check the number of battery cycles in the battery setting menu. The battery life is almost over after more than 200 cycles, so don't use it again.
